SHARJAH, UAE / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to commence nonstop flights connecting Sharjah with Gdansk starting on Dec. 14, 2026, establishing a new link between the UAE and northern Poland. The airline will operate five weekly flights between Sharjah International Airport and Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport. These flights are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. This route will facilitate direct air travel for residents of Poland’s Pomeranian region to Sharjah.
On Mondays and Saturdays, flight G9 0628 departs Sharjah at 4 p.m. and arrives in Gdansk at 8 p.m., while G9 0629 departs Gdansk at 8:50 p.m. and reaches Sharjah at 6:10 a.m. the following morning. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will depart Sharjah at 8:15 a.m., with return flights leaving Gdansk at 1:05 p.m. and arriving in Sharjah at 10:25 p.m.
Gdansk becomes Air Arabia’s fourth Polish destination from Sharjah, following the airline’s announced expansion in December. The airline already flies to Krakow and Warsaw Chopin Airport from its main base in the UAE. Additionally, flights to Katowice will begin on Dec. 17, 2026, three days after the Gdansk service launches. The Katowice route will operate four times weekly, further expanding the airline’s growing network within Poland.
Gdansk Enhances Direct Connectivity with Northern Poland
The newly introduced Gdansk service adds a Baltic coast destination to Air Arabia’s European route network from Sharjah. The airline’s European destinations include Athens, Vienna, Prague, Milan, Munich, Rome, and London Gatwick. Gdansk Airport serves the wider Tri-City metropolitan area of Gdansk, Gdynia, and Sopot, as well as other parts of northern Poland. It offers both domestic and international flights catering to leisure and business travelers throughout the region.
According to Air Arabia Group Chief Executive Adel Al Ali, the addition of Gdansk will strengthen the airline’s presence in Poland. Tomasz Kloskowski, President of Gdansk Airport, emphasized the significance of the direct link between the Pomeranian region and the UAE. The airport has recognized Sharjah as a transit hub for onward flights to India, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and East Africa. The new routes will allow Gdansk passengers to connect seamlessly with Air Arabia’s extensive network via its hub in Sharjah.
Scheduled for December, Five Flights Weekly
Air Arabia’s fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft is used across its routes, and bookings for the Gdansk route are now open. The airline’s schedule lists flight G9 0628 for departures from Sharjah on Mondays and Saturdays, with G9 0629 on the return leg. Flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays will be operated by G9 0626 departing Sharjah, and G9 0627 from Gdansk. All times shown are local, with the route operating nonstop both ways.
The launch on Dec. 14 will broaden Air Arabia’s direct Polish network just ahead of the start of its Katowice service. With existing flights to Krakow and Warsaw, these two December additions will bring the total number of Polish destinations served from Sharjah to four. Gdansk will feature five weekly flights, while Katowice will operate four flights per week, following the confirmed schedule. Air Arabia maintains that the Gdansk service will commence as planned in December 2026 with five weekly flights.
