SHARJAH / RankWire.AI / – Air Arabia is set to introduce direct flights from Sharjah International Airport to Amman City Airport starting November 15, 2026. The airline plans to operate this route four times weekly, establishing another direct link between the United Arab Emirates and Jordan. Already, Air Arabia connects Sharjah with Queen Alia International Airport, offering travelers access to two airports serving Amman. The new service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

Flight G9 169 departs from Sharjah at 8:00 a.m. and arrives in Amman at 10:30 a.m. local time, while the return flight, G9 170, departs Amman at 11:20 a.m. and lands in Sharjah at 3:15 p.m. local time. Reservations are now available via the airline’s website, call center, and travel agency network. The route was announced on October 8, more than a month prior to the inaugural flight.
This new operation expands the existing network of Air Arabia Group in Jordan, which already includes routes from Abu Dhabi and Alexandria to Amman. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi operates flights from Zayed International Airport to both Queen Alia International Airport and Amman City Airport. Additionally, the airline runs direct flights from Alexandria International Airport to Amman City Airport. The addition of Sharjah as a departure point provides more options for travelers heading to Jordan’s capital.
Second Jordanian Airport Added to Sharjah Network
Adel Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Air Arabia Group, commented that the new service offers travelers an alternative airport in Amman. He highlighted that this route will enhance convenience and flexibility for those traveling between Jordan and the UAE. The airline will continue its existing flights from Sharjah to Queen Alia International Airport, making Amman City Airport a second gateway in Jordan on Air Arabia’s schedule.
Earlier in 2026, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi launched flights to Amman City Airport, beginning on May 1 with three weekly nonstop flights from Zayed International Airport. Prior to this, the carrier served Queen Alia International Airport. The expanded Abu Dhabi schedule initially offered 10 weekly flights to Amman when the new route was introduced. Now, the Sharjah route will further extend this dual-airport model in Jordan.
Four Weekly Flights Strengthen UAE-Jordan Air Links
The new flights from Sharjah will operate under the G9 169 and G9 170 service codes as per the published timetable. Air Arabia’s fleet primarily includes Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The airline features SkyTime entertainment, SkyCafe onboard meals, and the Air Rewards loyalty program. Customers can book the new service to Amman City Airport through the airline’s usual sales channels ahead of the scheduled November launch.
This November introduction broadens Air Arabia Group’s connectivity between the UAE and Jordan across several operational bases. Passengers from Sharjah will have direct access to both Amman City Airport and Queen Alia International Airport. Already, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi offers service to both airports from Zayed International Airport. Alexandria also maintains a direct route to Amman City Airport. The new route will add four weekly flights from Sharjah to the airline’s broader Jordan flight schedule.
